LATIN COURSE FOR TEENAGERS – PART 1 (APRIL – JUNE 2016) TUTOR: Dr, JOHN WHELPTON
The textbook for this course, Cambridge Latin Course, is by far the most popular in the UK and is used by over 90% of schools teaching Latin. Students will be expected to purchase a copy of Book 1 either directly themselves or via the course tutor. I have ordered on behalf of the first five students to enroll and can do so for later enrollees if requested, If you prefer to order for yourself, make sure you select the UK Fourth edition, as the North American edition has some differences. The book is available at about HK$162 (price varies from day to day with exchange rate fluctuation etc.) at http://www.bookdepository.com/Cambridge-Latin-Course-1-Students-Book-Cambridge-School-Classics-Project/9780521635431 You will be supplied with other materials, including photocopies of the first chapters until the book arrives, Powerpoints and recordings of the passages.
