LATIN COURSE II (CAMBRIDGE) (JUNE –SEPTEMBER 2020)
TUTOR: Dr. JOHN WHELPTON

The textbook for this course, Cambridge Latin Course, is by far the most popular in the UK and is used by over 90% of schools teaching Latin as well as by many adult learners. Book 1 is now available at Dante and, unless you have already ordered your own copy separately, you should collect this and pay $180. In the meantime the online version of both Book I and Book II can be consulted on the Cambridge suite:  https://www.clc.cambridgescp.com/online-textbooks
The course is continuing on-line as one student is on Taiwan starting on-line and also because of the current Covid-19 situation. Arrangements for purchasing book II will be discussed in class.

You will be supplied with other materials, including Powerpoints and recordings of the passages.. Please note that these are copyright materials and should not be passed on to anybody else.
The reading passages in the book are available on-line with hyper-linked glosses for all the vocabulary on the CLC site at: http://www.clc.cambridgescp.com/books/book-i and https://www.clc.cambridgescp.com/books/book-ii
You will be welcome to contact me on [email protected] if you have questions at any time.
There is also additional introductory material at http://linguae.weebly.com/latin--greek.html
