The textbook for this course, Cambridge Latin Course, is by far the most popular in the UK and is used by over 90% of schools teaching Latin. Books have already arrived and, unless they already have one, students will need to purchase their copy from the tutor at a cost of HK$177 You will be supplied with other materials, including Powerpoints and recordings of the passages.. Session 3 12/2 CLC Stage 1: reading passage (Cerberus). 3rd. pers. sing. verbs, prepositional phrases, major parts of a Roman house. Questions with quis and quid. Vocabulary learning with Cambridge and CRAM (www.cram.com) sites.
Session 4 19/2 Vocabulary quiz for Stage 1. CLC Stage 2: Introductory Powerpoint. Reading passages (mercātor, in tricliniō) Introduction to cases: nominative and accusative singular of masculine and feminine 1st, 2nd and 3rd declension nouns.
